Rendezvous at the Rendezvous, where paddlers paddle and pizza gets chewed. Get your tail on the Fox, bring a fox or two, then scoot in a tube till the current scoots you. Dip it, drip it, paddle and flip it, kayak attack it, then kick back and sip it. Canoes cruise crooked while cool waters curl, tubes bob and wobble, whirl after whirl. Frogs on the logs go plip-plop-plunk, fish flash fins while the river goes thunk. Herons stand tall with their toes in the flow, while turtles take twenty-seven minutes to go. Paddle past cattails, riffles and rocks, follow the flow and get your tail on the Fox. Float till you’re famished, then follow your nose, where the grill gets sizzling and cold goodness flows. Burgers get stacked and pizzas get spun, cold taps start pouring when paddling is done. Munch it, crunch it, chew through the crew, then toast to the Fox at the old Rendezvous.
